Pinner Israel Action Group

 
The purpose of the Israel Action Group is to ensure Israel remains at the heart of our Community, and although not primarily a fund raising group, we have always promoted and supported a number of projects in Israel
 
Our group has been active for over 5 years. An example of our activities
 
  • We mark Yom HaZikaron, Yom HaAtzmaut and Yom Yerushalayim and organise ceremonies to commemorate these special occasions
  • We support the UJIA's Magic Moments programme hosting in our homes & community, Israeli teenagers from the Galil
  • We organise speakers and events of a Zionist/Israeli nature
  • We have organised financial support and friendship for Anna Kazechkov and her son.  Anna's daughter Anya, was one of 21 youngsters killed in the Tel Aviv Dolphinarium suicide bombing in 2001
  • We support the Israel Guide Dog Centre for the Blind and raise funds for the rearing & training of guide dogs and new owners

The committee comprises a small group of keen members.
